The Inconvenient Store

With Picnic day, 4-20, and midterm 1 over, time to post some newwww items!! WahoooO! 

Requests were made, and these are some of the products we were able to find.  Our goal after this is mochi, ice cream, and more drinks (like grass jelly, etc).  *Milo requests, we have not forgot about you, we have found it!  Just working on shipping :(*

Welcome back everyone!

Just a quick update cause i’m sure you’re all too excited about classes…  Our newest drinks are here!  They are VITA juiceboxes!!!  Vitasoy, Malt Vitasoy, Chrysanthemum tea, Lemon tea…+ some pastry items and more!

I love those drinks, so i hope you will too :)

Day 4

….Each day has been a continued joy and pleasure to work for the students of Davis.  With each day, we are learning more and more about what you students want and how we can fulfill them.  

The name of the store was in part due to the difficulty of starting a business, but the work and effort have paid off many times over.  Paid off with genuine reactions from day 1 to day 4.

(so cute!) (did you two do this yourselves?)(this is a great idea!)(!!!!!!!!omg!!!!!)(GAHHHH!)     * it is flattering and fills us with joy and glee EVERY TIME! 

Really, thank you to everyone.  Everyone and anyone who has visited our facebook page, visited the store, or even just mentioned it by word of mouth.  The facebook event had a initial invitation list of maybe 250 people.  One day later, 1000…  Two days later, 2000…  3 days later totalling 3000+.  That is just F*ing amazing!

Amazing and unexpected. To the point where demand totally depleted our supplies.  By the end of day 1, our shelves were cleared of:  Pocky section, Aloe drink 1.5l, Milk Coffee, Calbee Shrimp chips (Garlic AND original) , Hello kitty lotte pies.

It got to the point where we had to emergency order food and convince our salesmen to personally deliver all those sold out snacks in his Acura tl from San Franciso. Lol, but Day 2 proved just as successful as day 1!  Shelves were emptied once again!! 

Selling out is an amazing feeling.  But being sold out presented a new problem for us as new visitors walked into an empty, poorly stocked store.  Many visitors came in, and left with negative comments about how the store “sucked….was truely inconvenient….small…few snacks…”  And it was during this time we almost decided to close up early to fix these errors instead of letting the store’s reputation slowly die……..BUT what a mess that would make of our first week!

Our solution instead was one of great inconvenience..we drove to Sacramento and San Franciso at 6am and return back to the store.  This pick up would at least last us from Wednesday to Thursday.  TA DA, problem solved with only a minor inconvenience.  But it was well worth our time since the store’s glow was revived!!

Update time!  Update time!!

Exclamation marks can’t show just how excited we are!!  A shipment of products has arrived and now the fun begins!  We sampled some snacks after a late night out, and… wow did we let our munchies loose!  This shipment included mostly sweets and drinks, but more is coming!!!

Also keep your eyes peeled for our store sign!  (Especially if you are heading to/from South Davis on B street… J)
